What does my gift certificate include?
All Family Photography gift certificates include a full portrait session, which can range from 40 minutes to an hour and a half. This is dependent on who is being photographed - age, number of people and different group combinations requested, number of outfit changes, etc. Length of time required for your photo session will be discussed in your pre-consultation. You also have use of my studio wardrobe and props if required. All gift certificates are different in what finished products they may include. Please make sure you read your certificate carefully and give me a call if you need further information.
Do you photograph in studio or location?
I have a studio which is great for indoor portraits. I also photograph outdoors on location. I can suggest a number of great locations that are beautiful and may suit the style of setting you are hoping for. I can travel to wherever you like within the Christchurch area. There may be a travel fee for locations 25kms or further than Christchurch.
Can we include Grandparents/siblings/in-laws/the dogs?
Yes, absolutely! It's a great opportunity to include wider family members. Besides, it's not something you do everyday, and these images will be around to remember forever. You can do a range of images which include all family members, some which have smaller groupings, and even images of individuals. This will of course extend the overall photo shoot session time, but this is usually not a problem. But please do inform me if further people or pets are coming along. If your group has more than 8 people and extra fee of $10 per person will apply.
Do you sell digital images?
Yes, I do. My digital only packages are similarly priced to my beautiful printed and matted wall artworks. If you purchase larger printed wall artworks, an album or one of my packages which includes smaller printed artworks or an album you automatically receive the matching digital images of these artworks as a gift. These will be sent through to you via platforms such as email, Dropbox or Google Drive.
What do we wear?
I can talk through ideas with you about styling in your pre-consultation. I also have a helpful style guide I can send through for you to look at. This has some good hint's and some ideas about colour. It's important to be comfortable with what you have decided to wear so you can look at your images and love what you were wearing.
What about my hair and makeup?
You can do your hair and makeup yourself, or add this on to your portrait session. I can organise a hair and makeup artist to come and really accentuate the beautiful you. This is a great way to be pampered and feel a million bucks before and after your photoshoot.
I find everyday regular makeup is hard to see in a photoshoot. Heavier makeup looks more like regular makeup on camera, so this is a good rule of thumb to follow if you are doing your own.
What will this cost me?
This will depend on what you order after your photoshoot at your viewing session. I carefully select your final images for viewing which include the best photographs from your photo session. At this point you can select the images you love, and decide on the products you want to order. There is no minimum spend, however most people invest between $1000 and $3000 for their custom heirloom products and matching digital images.

Can I purchase a gift certificate for someone else? For example - my son/daughter/friend/employee...
Yes, you can. However, I will need to have details such as their name and contact number for my gift certificate records. It's important to note that there will be many beautiful images they will want from their session, so purchasing a gift certificate which will gift them their photography experience and more than just one small image is the best idea so your special family can have a collection of amazing images. All gift certificates and vouchers are for a full family portrait sessions - unless otherwise specified. This is for a family of 3 or more. This includes a pre-consultation session, full 45mins to 1.5 hour portrait experience and an in-person image reveal session where all decision makers must attend for the gift certificate to be valid.

A retainer fee must be paid at the time of booking in order to secure your portrait session time. In most cases this will be the photo session fee. If you have purchased or been gifted a certificate or voucher a $100 retainer must be paid. This will be refunded or credited towards any purchases after your session. If you cancel your appointment less than 5 days before the event or you do not show up, you will not be refunded your retainer or session fee.

You must book your photo session date and time with me before the gift certificate expires.

All images from your photoshoot are archived for up to 2 year after your session. If you purchase digital image files you have to expect files to corrupt from approximately 10 years onwards and the best way to preserve your images is to PRINT them. There is no guarantee of a good useable copy of your digital images. However, I do guarantee my printed artworks to last generations.

All decision makers must be present at your image reveal and ordering appointment. There will be a fee of $50 to arrange another image reveal and ordering appointment.

Payment and/or a payment plan contract is to be made at the reveal and order appointment.

Only one gift certificate or voucher can be used per portrait session, per family, per year.

Gift certificates/vouchers or model call sessions cannot be combined with any other offer or voucher, cannot be redeemed for cash or any other goods, and are not transferable. They cannot be used other than as described.

Special offers and gift certificates/vouchers cannot be used to purchase artworks or products from a previous portrait session.

Special offers and gift vouchers cannot be combined with any mini portrait sessions.

All Gift Certificates will have an expiry date either written on the certificate or included in the accompanying photography session information. Recipients must book their photography session before the Gift Certificate expiry date or it will become void.

All photographs created as part of a Model Call photography session, as advertised by the photographer, can be used for online and print marketing, promotional material, photography awards and competitions if required by the photographer.
